The Wisconsin Soccer Association is celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2013. We trace our beginnings to Racine. We were privileged to join the U. S. of America Foot Ball Association in 1914. U.S. Soccer was one of the world's first organizations to be affiliated with FIFA, soccer's world governing body, and has grown into one of the sport's organizational leaders, integrating player participation and player development into arguably the world's most successful top-to-bottom National Team program. The Wisconsin Soccer Association Inc (WSA ) has been part of that history. A few of our greatest contributions to the U.S. Soccer Federation have been to have one of our past WSA Inc. Presidents, Gene Edwards (1960-1969 ), as the President of the U. S. Soccer Federation and one of Wisconsins Hall of Fame inductees, Robert Gansler, as head Coach of the US National Team.
